Adult male and female pronghorn antelope, Antilocapra americana. Nov 20 2020 just east of town at sunrise. This was shot just a few minutes after sunrise and lighting was interesting to say the least. The light on the animals was very warm (too warm) and yet the snow was picking up blues from the clear-ish sky above.

Thank you all for the usual wonderful selection of images, and for giving me the usual headache of down-selecting. But select I must. And so this week the runners up are: Fauxtoto with Luskville. live.staticflickr.com/65535/50610281246_6bd467a364_o.jpgI always struggle with in camera movement (which is what I'm presuming this is, or has been processd to appear to be) because too often you aren't left with sufficient recognisable elements. But this is just perfect. The person on the right provides a strong subject against the brightness; they draw your eye in, and then you notice the person on the left. Their dark clothing mirrors the tree trunks and they are beautifully positioned moving out of the frame. jackscrap with her penguin. A wonderful rendering of an artistic vision. The wooliness of its chest feathers are matched by the starbursts of the surrounding sky, the colours beautifully complementing its own natural beauty and the textures perfectly blended to create a cohesive whole. live.staticflickr.com/65535/50658976826_ac3becb61c_k.jpgBut my Image of the Week is: adobeman with Weird Selfie. i.ibb.co/B3s7Y0T/Welcome-to-my-world.jpgI have a family connection to cartooning and caricaturists and so maybe it shouldn't surprise me that I was so drawn to this image, but for me what makes it stand out is the astounding attention to detail. Every element is placed in perfect alignment - the distorted curve of the door following the rounding of the arm and shoulder, the keyboard creating a line to the far hand, the watch balancing the subject's face and breaking up the expanse of the near arm, the microphone sitting at the thirds point and creating a focal point, the line of hair exactly uniform in length surrounding the head; I could go on. And this is before you even start to look at the pictures within pictures. A sensational image, that I hope was properly recognised in your camera club.

Congrats to Maurice and Jacki and especially to Ken ( adobeman). Ken that really is a fun photo and has many interesting features as alexr noted including the infinity images on the monitor. Clive

Thanks for judging, Alex. I look forward to reading your comments as much as viewing your selections!
Congratulations to Maurice and Jacki. Special congratulations to Ken. I have enjoyed seeing the many pictures you have added to your gallery. It is nice to see you take the top spot this week and look at your image again through Alex's discerning eyes.
