I am amazed at how much clearer I can see now! That's great Jacki EDIT: BTW jackscrap My eyesight is 20-20 since the cataract operations and I see so clearly at a distance, i.e. beyond about 1 m or so. I wear the half glasses to read my cell phone and I wear full reading glasses to read my tablet at night. Great technology that has improved countless lives.

Victoria Day Long Weekend here. Lots of folks out for their first camping of the season. Cold and wet in the mountains with fresh snow up high. Awesome cloud pouring over the Livingstone Range late this afternoon. ( I need to proof read before posting. Ugh. ) Two versions: darker and lighter. Comments welcome.

Awesome image Clive. I like both versions but I think I prefer the darker one as it conveys more of a sense of atmosphere. Actually, at first glance if this doesn't seem stupid, I thought I was looking at enormous rolling waves and I was looking for those adventurous surfer types…lol. The fact that it's clouds is amazing.

Usually, I like when a photo is lightened, but in this case, I agree with Lillias - more sense of atmosphere

When the music's over ..turn out the light... Went to a Simon and Garfunkle tribute act, lovely night but nothing quite as sad as a venue after closing. And beforehand a Japanese meal with the cutest specials menu...

Went to a Simon and Garfunkle tribute act, lovely night but nothing quite as sad as a venue after closing. Ho man, that is such a small-town (??) cool photo. Love the tables and chairs. Wow. There's a Willie Nelson song with a line, "Turn out the lights, the party's over..." The Party’s Over Turn out the lights The party's over They say that all Good things must end Call it a night The party's over And tomorrow starts The same old thing again

Thanks, Clive. It does look small town but it's actually The Camelot Lounge in Marrickville, a big suburb between city centre Sydney and the airport. Together with Enmore and Newtown it's a very cool and alternative area of Sydney. All kinds of people can be seen there and very rarely is there any trouble. Home to a lot of great craft micro-breweries too www.sydney.com/destinations/sydney/inner-sydney/marrickvilleI wasn't aware of the Willy Nelson song (not a country fan but what an American hero he is). My reference was from The Doors, When The Music's Over.

Definitely not straight out of camera.....but didn't want to start a new thread. This morning I saw these dragonflies hanging from the balcony above. Selected, enhanced the RAW image and added a light blue layer for the "sky". Used Generative fill to create a branch and added leaves from StockSolo. Before: After:

Very cool photo, Howard! Being it's now 47 minutes since you posted I imagine you know the results. I remember you said you'd be traveling; enjoy your trip and look forward to seeing your additions to the Street Photography thread.

I remember you said you'd be traveling; enjoy your trip and look forward to seeing your additions to the Street Photography thread. Thanks. Helen, I'm over the moon! Day one in Hanoi was great, crazy city, nice people, great food. Spending 5 days with Eric De Vries, my photographer friend and his wife, getting tuition, tips and advice. His website is worth a look and I recommend his workshops if anyone is visiting Siem Reap, Phnom Penh or Hanoi. ericdevriesofficial.wordpress.com/Will try to post on the go but struggle to get images from camera to phone. The sony app is quite poor to be honest.

Making me smile...enjoy! Will try to post on the go but struggle to get images from camera to phone. Sorry, I didn't mean you needed to post while away. When you get home take your time and choose the pictures you'd like to add. If you have the opportunity, and want to, you can add something to Today's picture while you're away. The phone might be easier for this.
