Concerning images contained within a post and added via imgbb:
Does anyone know the optimum width in pixels; as in, at what point is it of no advantage to submit wider resolution images ?
Unless things have changed since lately, FaceBook limits images submitted to 960 long side and downsizes anything larger.
Concerning this site and imgbb, it seems that all images display at the same width; height of the image does not seem to matter.
As this is a photography oriented site, it would be nice if pictures came closer to filling the available space.

FaceBook limits images submitted to 960 long side ad downsizes anything larger. The long-side standard is now 2048 pixel on FB. There is a thread here with a discussion on posting size for imgbb. Will find it.

BuckSkin Here are some examples of the same image posted at different sizes. Not sure if this is useful or not. Clive

The long-side standard is now 2048 pixel on FB. Thanks for the update on FB image size; I, myself, have never posted anything on FaceBook, but I have to know all of this on account of the FB junkie in the family.
