Hi everyone, Would you like to participate in the Weekly Photo Challenge? Just take a photo that is your interpretation of the theme and post it in this thread. The rules are rather simple.
- Your photo(s) should be your own, i.e., they should not have been taken by someone else. - Photoshopping is allowed but should be kept to the basics only rather than a total transformation. - Grab your camera, experiment, and, most of all, have fun.

Thanks for the theme Sepiana. I've been trying to find these gates for several years now and coming up empty even though I had a pretty good idea of where they are. With the challenge as an incentive I went out again today, determined to not come home empty-handed. Thanks to a couple clues from neighbor who was out walking his dogs ... voila!

That's quite a gate, Bill! Garden at a local park....with a reminder on the gate. Please close to keep out the bunnies.

Not sure if these are classed as gates. I would say they are both flood gates. Taken today at the River Tees, and white water course.

Not a big choice of gates around here so I'll go with a field gate - looks like it's been a while since it was used as a gate! Tony

Bill, this takes top honors for gate originality. Your persistence paid off. What a finding!

This is my own front gate. I live in a gated community right next to a river. We all feel very safe and secure. Matthew Matthew, your gated community looks so peaceful! Despite the gate being closed, it still looks inviting. The viewer is invited to a safe and secure place.

Helen, I like the 2nd shot. The viewers are drawn through the open gate to the buildings in the background. Nice composition!

Weston Favell Lock Gates, not nice weather π Jim, itβs interesting to see lock gates in this kind of setting. Nice shot (considering the weather was not cooperating).
