I have noticed that this site has a habit of clipping links at the first comma and many links do indeed have commas.
This corrupts the integrity of the link and makes for incorrect web addresses and failed connections.
Can anything be done to address this ?

Can you give us an example of such a link BuckSkin ? I guess I have never noticed a comma embedded in a link. To be safe, you might want to paste it into a Code block (use the icon with 'C' inside a square).

BuckSkin , I have found that a comma may be used in a URL, but that it is discouraged. Here is a short clip from what I have learned:
I know that that doesn't help with your issue. Unfortunately we have no control over the code that implements the forum.

Oh! I just tried creating a link using one of your URLs and it works! I am using this one:
https://www.google.com/maps/@38.9932036,-83.7142045,78m/data=!3m1!1e3
I now think the problem is the way you are going about embedding it in your post. Please follow the directions that Helen gave above. I am confident it will allow you to do what you are wanting.
