To start the ACR section of the forum, I can't find a better reading than the following:

Keep in mind that our new forum is called 'Elements and more', which means Elements, Lightroom, Photoshop... and others like OneOne and others. All give you the wonderful power of raw conversion.
For Elements users, the ACR part has drastically changed our editing workflow in the ten last years. It's good to start with a good understanding of the process!
