I thought this article might be of use to some members. It gives you some good ideas and also shows the settings used for the examples shown.

Perhaps we could start a "show your urban night shots" thread where we could share our settings, challenges and how we overcame them. Hmm, will have to look into my archive when I get home to get us started.

This is a fabulous article Simone - thanks so much for sharing it! I just only yesterday ordered a remote control shutter release for my camera so that I can get some better night shots around Sydney than what I have been taking, so this is a timely read.
