Hi everyone, Would you like to participate in the Weekly Photo Challenge? Just take a photo that is your interpretation of the theme and post it in this thread. The rules are rather simple.
- Your photo(s) should be your own, i.e., they should not have been taken by someone else. - Photoshopping is allowed but should be kept to the basics only rather than a total transformation. - Grab your camera, experiment, and, most of all, have fun.

Nice image last week, Dennis. Two from this morning.... The pickle ball players and a guy who did some kind of warm-up routine before beginning his tennis game a little bit later.

A favourite subject of mine - the belts and wooden wheels powered by an electric motor (originally a steam engine) that operate the wells at an historic oil field. Originally built in 1903 and running almost continuously since. A lot of action especially when up close!

Spotted this young green heron quietly fishing at a pond this morning. Didn't have a long lens with me so tried to move close which stirred it into action. Sequence from left to right - watching, neck stretching, taking off. Actually it didn't go far - just to the other end of the pond where it went back to watching for fish and frogs. One of the few birds that uses tools - it will find bread crumbs and insects to use as bait, dropping it into the water, waiting for fish to take the bait and catching the fish. Tony

Walkers walking and bikers biking this morning. Thanks for the challenge Dennis and Sepiana! Bill, two great interpretations of this week's theme. I really like the bikers image. It screams "Action".

Judy, great composition -- with the pup going across the frame and the use of negative space. Quite a display of "action" on his part.

Some machinery action. Combining barley on the high plains. September 6, 2022. Clive, nicely done. There is definitely action in this image. We can almost hear the "roar" of the engine.

I really like your creativity on this one. It's action taken to another level (story-telling).
