Nailed it, Tony. Do you remember any details about how you went about doing it? It was about 10 years ago with a very simple set-up - a water supply set up to give a slow drip (I think I used a syringe as the nozzle) into a bowl and the camera on a tripod with a flash gun focused on where the drop hit the water. From then on it was just luck. This was several generations of camera ago and my current one with faster continuous shooting might make it easier to capture the optimum drop if the flash can keep up. Thanks, Tony. I do remember people trying this at EV. This sounds like something to try with a few friends.....I don't think I would find it fun to try by myself.
