Thanks Peter. For me, the limes stand out. They are sufficiently "shot through" some shrubbery and well-framed by that and the darkness behind. The other two have too much foreground stuff...to my eye.

Good choice, Clive and, while I agree that the limes work, I'd like to see the daylilies cropped (take off most of the oof on the left) and the stick in front of the flowers removed (content aware fill). I tried it and it looks good.

I have a slightly different perspective, for what it is worth. For me, the limes don't really work to the theme, which is a shame because I love the texture you've got, but the leaves you have 'shot through' actually just look to me as incidental out of focus stuff. I also don't particularly like the halo effect around the top right, but theme aside it is the strongest image. I do quite like the first, it is more subtle and gentle but I'd crop quite a bit off the top, maybe to lose the entire left leaf, and then off the bottom to balance and end up as a letterbox, and then put a dark vignette on. My preference for you to enter would be the third which I think fits the brief best, and for the me the branch in front is integral to this, it really does feel that you are peering into a bush. I might darken the right hand side leaf somewhat though.

Help me choose - certainly open to advice 1st image, Peterj, the two flowers show there colour detail and aging so even if you left as is be my choice, maybe you could edit some of the lower foliage to cover the leave. 2nd The Limes appear to have halo beneath them, maybe add blur tool around the edges, otherwise my 2nd choice. 3rd Bottom image I'm not sure really but was you aware of how you took the picture or just at random, maybe edit part of flower stem covering the flowers and then use blur tool on the greenery, this might make the flowers pop up out of the background.

Thank you all for the input; I slightly reworked the three. I'm really torn between 2 & 3. My least favorite Carefully looked for the halo and discovered it was on original - reflection off the gravel Paid more attention to crop and lighting - the capture intentionally included the branch to highlight shoot thru

Thanks, Tom...I wasn't sure and didn't want to step on anyone's toes. I decided not to post the manipulated photo because folks seem to be happy with what's been done subsequent to the question being asked. Next time I'll know!
