I have downloaded the 30-day trial of PSE 2023. (I bought a new camera and needed ACR V14+ although stinson noted he was able to install ACR V14+ on his PSE 2020. Another story.) I use custom ©/signature stamps so naturally I want my CAS '22 stamp in PSE 2023. Fine, I'll just copy it into the PSE 2023 preset >>brushes folder from PSE 2021 preset >>brushes folder. But I can't find them even though they are available in PSE 2021. Any help finding the elusive custom © brushes is appareciated. Thank you. PS: I think we've been here before but I am unable to find a reference by searching PSEM. This shows my many custom © brush the brushes...so we know they exist....see below
But these custom brush folders do not show up in Adobe\Photoshop Elements 2021\Presets\Brushes

Clive, It looks like your custom brushes were not permanently installed in the Presets>Brushes folder in PSE 2021. They were just temporarily loaded to make them available to the Brush tool in this version. Let's try this . . . Keep PSE 2023 closed while you do this.1. Locate your custom brushes where you stored them on your computer. 2. Copy/paste them into the Presets>Brushes folder in PSE 2023.

Do a full computer search of *.abr to see if you can locate them and then copy them to the Presets>Brushes folder in PSE 2023

It looks like your custom brushes were not permanently installed in the Presets>Brushes folder in PSE 2021. Thanks. I sort of understand the issue with not being permanently installed. My take on this was if they are not in the right place they won't be available the on startup. Maybe not. They have been avail able in 2021 for almost 2 years now. Before posting, I did a fast search for *.abr files and could not find the ones I wanted. I'll try "search hidden folders" or whatever it is. Will let you know. Thanks. Will look now.

I did a fast search for *.abr files and could not find the ones I wanted. Thanks stinson and Sepiana I did not look wide or deep enough. I searched for the *.abr files within the Adobe folder in Program Files. They were elsewhere....although I don't quite grasp where. See below. Copied to the PSE 2023 presets >>brushes folder. All good now. Thank you both!Clive

I believe this is the explanation for your custom brush files to be in the Users > . . . folder. I certainly recall that specific video and in earlier times relied on online articles. Thanks again.
