I notice that when I post a jpg image on this forum in the Adobe RGB colour space, the colours appear slightly off in my Chrome browser. It's only a very subtle difference, but I can tell that the colours are not appearing exactly the same on the forum as when viewed in PS elements on my PC. However, when I post images in the s-rgb colour space then the colours appear correctly on this forum.
So from now on, I will be posting all my images on the web as s-rgb. Not sure if the problem is the forum or my browser. Has anyone else experienced this?
Kind regards Chris

I understand that sRGB is the default color space for the web. Relatively few web applications (image galleries, websites, browsers, etc.) implement color management so sRGB is the least common denominator for the web.
Adobe RGBIt was designed to encompass most of the colors achievable on CMYK color printers not really intended for the web.

That is my understanding as well - web browsers use sRGB.

Most browsers these days do support colour management if the image is tagged with a profile but if the profile is stripped they generally assume sRGB. If you post a tagged image on imgbb it retains the profile and most browsers will use it to display correctly. The problem comes when the thumbnail from imgbb is posted on the forum as the profile information is stripped so the image will look different if it was anything other than sRGB to start. Click on it to view on imgbb and it should look correct. I posted examples in this post in this threadBottom line is posting sRGB is safest. Tony
