Hi, I have just purchased 2023 I have heard that the ACR 14.4 has been vastly improved over the version in 2018. I have not found much difference except - I find the histogram in 2018 was much easier to read, the colours are solid and the effects of edits are easily seen.
- in 2018 the size of the clipping warnings indicate when the they are activated, this is not present in 2023.
- The Auto option in 2023 works well in setting a better start point for ACR editing.
- I was hoping that masks or selections would be introduced into ACR.
I was under the impression that 14.4 had all the attributes of ACR in Photoshop. I can't do the comparison because I don't know what is in Photoshop, but there seems little difference between 2018 and 2023. I have searched the web, but can find nothing to give me a greater appreciation of the changes. Can anyone recommend a link to a site which looks at the upgrades in a bit more depth? I still have the problem of not being able to re-activate my Elements 2018, despite a trip to adobe help. The Adobe register of my products lists serial Numbers for 2010, 2013 & 2015, all of which I have.. It then includes 2016 and 2021, which I don't have. No Serial Number for 2018, which I do have and now need. I don't seem to be able to get past this hurdle.

I was under the impression that 14.4 had all the attributes of ACR in Photoshop. ACR in Elements doesn't have the same features, i.e., all the bells and whistles as its Photoshop counterpart. This still applies to ACR 14.4.
