Hi everyone, Would you like to participate in the Weekly Photo Challenge? Just take a photo that is your interpretation of the theme and post it in this thread. - Your photo(s) should be your own, i.e., they should not have been taken by someone else. - Photoshopping is allowed but should be kept to the basics only rather than a total transformation. - Grab your camera, experiment, and, most of all, have fun.
NOTE
This week's theme was a joint suggestion by Dennis and Brenda -- dennis9. (Thanks, Dennis and Brenda!)

Here is some wood that I shot this morning on a walk in the woods at Woods Memorial Nature Area. And here is a hollowed out tree trunk. Special people who look closely in the lower right will be able to see the entrance to a little faerie home. (But you have to believe in the faeries in order to see it.) Thanks Dennis and Brenda for the theme ... and Sepiana for hosting the challenge.

We had planned a day trip to Batsto Village today. When I saw the topic for this week I knew I would have many opportunities to take some pictures for this theme. I will start with these two but may post more later in the week. This structure was not identified and I have no idea what it is......except that it's definitely made of wood! On the other hand I had no trouble identifying this one

A couple old wooden things. First an old wooden wagon wheel that has seen better days and the second is barnboard that looks new but is in fact quite old as it was the inside of board from an old building being demolished so had never "weathered". The saw marks apparently indicate the type of sawmill it was sawn in. Tony

Helen In addition to the "thumbs up (like)" button we need a laughing button. Then (when you post an outhouse) I can click it instead of the "thumbs up (like)" button. Clive

Out and about yesterday. Real wood - an old oak - with a sprig of poison ivy.

Stopped by this venerable old oak on a walk today and was looking for a different point of view -took several but I'll go with this one taken from the bottom looking up. Tony

Had to try it, this was the most extreme perspective - lying on my back, head against the trunk Tony
