An old split cedar post probably dating back to the 30s or earlier ... they last forever. Oldman River Valley, September 23, 2020. We have some cedar posts that are used in winter as "fat feeders" for the downy woodpeckers and northern flickers. The rancher I got them from dated them at circa 1910. Clive, great finding! The cedar post may be old but it is still standing. The power of cedar!

Mesquite tree in my front yard Pete, I really like the first shot -- the canopy formed by the branches and leaves, giving us just a glimpse of the bright blue sky.
