The inside ring of this barn is a 375 feet long open span. This is showing the structure of the ceiling. That is impressive ! Is this the insides of one of the outsides that you posted ? if so, which one ? Those barns were built back when people had pride in what they were doing; nowadays, even so-called barn builders just throw together some pole and truss flimsy mess that will be scattered all over the neighbors the first big wind that comes. The three worst things to ever happen to farms are rolled hay, electric fences, and gooseneck livestock trailers. They leave rolled hay outside, so no need to have a good solid dry place to store it --- even though the outer fifty percent rots and falls off when they pick it up to move it and what is left is a black moldy mess. Electric fences instill a laziness in people that bleeds into everything else they do. Gooseneck trailers are wonderful; I have owned as many as five at the same time; however, they load at ground level; so, no good stout barn with good stout loading chute is required. All of these lazy ways of doing things have instilled a lazyness in farmers such that they have allowed their good stout barns to deteriorate; their livestock lives outside in the wind and freezing rain, and has to eat musty moldy rolled hay, corn gluten, and distiller's slop.

Three barns. Old barn somewhere in Central Alberta, 2006 Probably a granary vs an actual barn for hay and critters. SW Alberta, 2015.
Old barn near Digby, Nova Scotia, 2011.

These white barns are located on Highland CR60/Stringtown Road, between CR145 and CR141. 39° 04' 7.91" North Latitude 83° 46' 15.49" West Longitude Elevation: 993' Photo Taken through the glass of a Moving Vehicle CR60/Stringtown Road Mowrystown, Ohio Highland County Sunday_19-December-2021 Please excuse the poor quality of the close crops; a filthy windshield and moving vehicle do not make for optical clarity and image quality; I included them to better exhibit the detail of the barns. Notice the windmill.

This horse and carriage barn is on Highland CR60/Stringtown Road in the first curve near OH Hwy 321. These barns were common back in horse and buggy days, even in towns and cities. The horse-drawn conveyance was parked in the center, whether it be buggy, carriage, buckboard, or wagon; it had to be kept in out of the weather. There were tie-stalls and at least one box stall for the horses. There was a gear room for the saddles, bridles, and harness; if you were British, this would have been called a tack room. On the ground floor, there would have been a feed room for grain and steps leading to a loft for hay storage. Many is the shiny new car that will never spend a night in a garage; but, horses, wagons, and leather gear need a place to be out of the weather; barns such as this were that place. 39° 04' 17.77" North Latitude 83° 46' 3.31" West Longitude Elevation: 984' Photo Taken through the glass of a Moving Vehicle CR60/Stringtown Road Mowrystown, Ohio Highland County Sunday_19-December-2021

Not sure what the guy in the John Deere Backhoe is trying to accomplish; hopefully, he is doing something that will dry up that barn lot. Anything done to dry up a mud-hole is always money well spent; as, it takes three times the hay and grain when livestock have to stand in a mud-hole to eat. They will drag out and drop twice or more than what they eat; and, if that falls in a mud-hole, they are not going to pick it up and eat it later. Plus, you have a lot more death loss from cattle that have to live in a mud-hole. However, in flat ground that doesn't drain, it is a losing battle that the mud will always win. 39° 03' 6.65" North Latitude 83° 46' 9.71" West Longitude Elevation: 984' Photo Taken through the glass of a Moving Vehicle CR60/Stringtown Road Mowrystown, Ohio Highland County Sunday_19-December-2021

More of the same area - if you are interested in the amazing history of the place, google Shelburne Farms. Shows you what an enormous amount of money can buy. The "farm barn" is first then The Coach barn - which is brick, was heated and had wood and brick floors. It is horseshoe shaped for the carriages and the last two are night shots of the "Breeding Barn" which is the large one I posted of the interior. A few years back lightning struck an equally impressive dairy barn and it burned to the ground. A very sad day. I have spent many a early mornings and late nights here. Before Covid there were at least 4 workshops a year. And because they are led by one of the descendants we get full access to all the buildings and they light up the breeding barn. Now we go on our own. i.ibb.co/ckXXcqd/DSC-1744.jpgi.ibb.co/jrbzk4S/DSC-1854.jpgi.ibb.co/nwrrZkk/DSC-2850.jpgi.ibb.co/6Y4NyGb/DSC-7626.jpg

Two Black Horses The far horse has definitely not been to the dry-cleaners, but the near horse is muddy as a pig. 37° 27' 27.63" North Latitude 84° 45' 37.03" West Longitude Elevation: 999' Photo Taken through the glass of a Moving Vehicle Murphy Road McKinney, Kentucky Lincoln County Wednesday_03-November-2021

How did you learn how to get Satellite GPS measurements from a Satellite?? How is that possible!?!?!? First, you need free Google Earth Pro installed. Then, in the upper-left corner, click on "Tools" and select "Ruler" You can choose to measure in all manner of increments, including inches, feet, yards, miles, rods, fathoms, nautical miles, etc., etc. You can choose to measure a straight line; or, you can select to measure a path, plus several other options that I do not yet understand. For a straight line measure, you just click to start your measuring line and click again to end it, and then read the results. You can change the various increments without loosing your line or measurement. I use the "Path" measuring feature all the time to measure roads and even routes that comprise several roads. I use it to measure our mule wagon rides.
