The screenwriter Dudley Nichols based his script on the 1940 novel For Whom the Bell Tolls by American novelist Ernest Hemingway.
We have an old "sick" bell although I think it was likely a classroom bell. (Think the bell has been posted here before.) Photographed in the dark in the kitchen this evening.  |

Thanks for the list of movie titles for the non-movie crowd Sepiana. I looked through them for ideas but instead came up with plan B which was to drive to the local movie theatre and use whatever was now playing as my theme.  My first thought was to go into my closet and photograph my Gucci shoes and accessories, but then I realized that I was thinking of someone else's closet and that I'd probably end up in some kind of trouble again. I went to the mall instead thinking that even if the Gucci store was closed for Thanksgiving, the mall would be open for walkers and I could shoot the sign or maybe through the inside windows. Wrong and wrong. So here is the exterior Gucci sign along with a shot through the exterior window and security gate.   I'll try to balance my fear of malls and black Friday sales with my quest for a better image and go back tomorrow. I really wish that "Toy Story" had been playing at the theatre. This had me in stitches, Bill, I could imagine you frantically trying to get pictures. I see you finally got what you wanted. |

I had to find a movie that fit my photo - I don't know a thing about this movie - but it's based on a 'true' storyJanice, and it is a good fit. The sky in your image seems to be on fire. Nice finding! |

The last couple of days have been cold and windy, stripping most of the leaves from the small tree outside our house. What else can it call to mind than "Gone with the Wind"? Brenda Brenda, I totally agree. This is a very creative interpretation of this movie title. Another job well done (as usual). |

Today I am visiting the National Railway Museum in York. So my film is "Trainspotting". Matthew Matthew, great match of subject and movie title. I really like how you captured three different trains; it emphasizes "spotting". |
