Hi everyone,
Adobe has released ACR 9.1 for Elements 13. If you go to Help>Updates, it should be there waiting to be installed. Unfortunately, history repeats itself. The same glitch which occurred with ACR 9.0 is back. The Adobe Application Manager is not installing the update although you get the message that the installation process was successfully completed. If you go to Help>About Plug-In>Camera Raw, you will learn that the update to ACR 9.1 has not occurred. You will still have ACR 9.0. This seems to be a hit-and-miss situation. I have Elements 13 installed on two computers. The installation was successful on one computer but not on the other. Hopefully, as it happened with the previous ACR update, Adobe will fix the problem shortly.

I just checked on mine and it says everything is up to date (there was no mention of updates ready to be installed) although when I checked the version of ACR it is showing v9.0.

Any chance that this is a Mac/PC situation? I'm using Mac.

I don't think so. It looks like the same thing that happened when Adobe released ACR 9.0 -- a problem with the Adobe Application Manager.

I can't upgrade to 9.1 either... (Windows 7) Since I was able to update in CC, I replaced the Camera Raw.8bi files in the Elements plugin folder by that of CC: Now I am in 9.1! Those .8bi files are in the following path: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Plugins\{CC or Elements 13}\File Formats

You can try a manual installation of ACR 9.1 in Elements 13. Just unzip the file and run the installer. It should find Elements 13 and proceed with the installation.
helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/camera-raw-plug-in-installer.html
CAUTION:
Before you proceed with the installation of ACR 9.1, make a copy of the ACR file you currently have and save it somewhere else on your computer. If the manual installation doesn't work, you can put the previous ACR file back.
On Windows the path will be . . . C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-Ins\Elements 13\File Formats\Camera Raw.8bi
DO NOT try to install ACR 9.1 in Elements versions earlier than version 13. It won't work. The installation will be successful but, when you open the Raw Converter, you will get an error message that you have the wrong ACR version, one which is not compatible with your version of Elements.

Just curious, does anyone know what the changes/features are between v9.0 and v9.1?

I have just completed a manual install on a windows PC, still on 9.00.414 Carl. I had the same experience Carl. It seemed to complete OK, so maybe the files weren't placed in the right folder??
